No Shame Iowa City Starts Next Friday

Admin Stuff

When an administrator posts and order, they can put a lable on the post designating the city of origin for the orders. That way if you only want to pull up orders or posts related to your city, you can click on the lable "Iowa City" or "Roanoke" or whatever and only posts with that lable will pop up.

For example, this post has the lable "Admin" so that if you only want to see posts designated as "rule" type things or announcements relating to everyone using the blog, you can do that.

I put a list of lable links on the side bar, which should make concentrating on things that interest you and avoiding things that don't a lot easier. If you're an Administrator and you create a new lable link, go ahead and add it in the lable links section of the template.

If you're not comfortable editing html, let me know what the lable link is and I'll add it for ya.

If there is interest, I'll go back and add lables to old posts, I've only gone back to October so far, but it isn't any trouble other than the time it takes to add the lables to old posts.

We're in NEW BLOGGER territory now

I've done the switch.

Anyone who was an administrator before still is, you just have to get a google account (your email and a password) and I think the administrator privileges return. Everyone who was there before the switch is still on the list in the internal templates. I'm pretty new to all this myself, so if there are problems, let me know and I'll try to sort them out.

Upgrading to the New Blogger (now owned by Google)

Couple of things.

1) Many Todds who claim to be Todd are not, in fact, Todd. Accept no substitutes.

2) Blogger has been acquired by Google and all current blogs on blogger are being encouraged to convert to the "NEW" blogger. Posting and administrating on the new blogger requires getting a google account. All blogspot blogs that don't convert will eventually be deleted, so this blog is going to upgrade in a few days. Be prepared for the change.
