I'll be there with bells on! I even wrote a little song for it:
No Shame Theatre is the place for me!
No Shame Theatre is the place to be!
Oh! The things you'll hear and see!
No Shame Theatre! Poop and Pee!
No Shame Theatre! (No Shame Theatre!)
No Shame Theatre! (No Shame Theatre!)
No Shame is the place for me.
Farm livin' is the life for me.
Land spreadin' out so far and wide.
Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside.
The chores!
The stores!
Fresh air!
Times Square!
No Shame Theatre! (No Shame Theatre!)

No Shame. Meet the No Shame.
They're the modern stone age family.
From the town of Iowa City,
They're a page right out of history.
Let's ride with the theatre troupe down the street.
Through the courtesy of Hahn's two feet.
When you're with the No Shame
you'll have a yabba dabba doo time.
A dabba doo time.
You'll have a gay old time.
No Shame Theatre! (No Shame Theatre!)
No Shame Theatre! (No Shame Theatre!)
No Shame Theatre,
Your dreams were your ticket out.
No Shame Theatre,
To that same old place that you laughed about.
Well the names have all changed since you hung around,
But those dreams have remained and they're turned around.
Who'd have thought they'd lead ya (Who'd have thought they'd lead ya)
Here where we need ya (Here where we need ya)
No Shame Theatre! (No Shame Theatre!)
No Shame Theatre! (No Shame Theatre!)
No Shame don't mean no pride!
I'm new to this whole "No Shame", but I like Adam's "good things come" attitude! I am definitely planning to do a piece on Friday! My name is Malc, and I will be there! Look for me in the show: my piece will be the comedy monologue about a PHONE SANDWICH and it will be credited to me, Malc Genc. (maybe you know of my father, Can Genc -- he invents things). Anyway, I look for ward to seeing you all there! Any advice for old Malc? A 1st time performer needs all the help he can get!!!
Malc, just be yourself. Don't worry...the idea of a sandwich phone is so played out, but the idea of a PHONE SANDWICH? GENIUS and HILARIOUS. With material like that, how can you go wrong? I'm so excited to see it! Why would anybody eat a sandwich with a phone in it? I can't wait to find out!
Gosh, 2 different guys with 2 very different views on the subject! I like how Michael says, "Malc, just be yourself. Don't worry..." That sounds nice, and I'd like to believe him! But what about when Hahn counters with "I don't know that Tabor's advice is really so good. Be yourself? I mean, that CAN be good, but that's assuming that "yourself" is what the audience wants to see. How can you know that, really?" Which is an excellent point, and really gives me the jitters!
I'm so excited that Michael Tabor likes my idea: "the idea of a PHONE SANDWICH? GENIUS and HILARIOUS. With material like that, how can you go wrong?" I was afraid nobody would like it!
But ultimately, I think Adam Hahn is right when he says, "After a few weeks, you'll have a good sense of the list of jokes and even individual words that are most likely to produce laughter in a good No Shame audience." This is a learning process for us all, and I am anxious to get started! Thanks a lot for the input, guys!
Malc
Has anybody heard of "Bling Blam Theatre"?
Apparently, it was a theatre movement in the late 70s, but here's the kicker: it had the SAME RULES AS NO SHAME! ...?...
Todd? Did you rip off Bling Blam Theatre?
No, Michael Tabor! "No Bing Blam Theatre!" That is NOT A REAL NO SHAME! A non-Hahn sanctioned event can never be known as a REAL-TO-LIFE NO SHAAAAME!!! Remember that! (I learned it in that little funny "how to no shame" book! It was coool!)
p.s. Whatever did happen to that insightful post Adam Hahn did made yesterday? It was there for me to read and respond to, and then not there! Gave ol' Malc the grout! OUCH!

Heads up:
The Department has asked the board to ask performers not to smoke onstage for the time being. In the interest of the freedom to use tobacco smoke in future University (and University-hosted No Shame) performances, they would appreciate our cooperation until the dust settles on the current anti-smoking push.
Smoking in the Theatre Building (or near its entrances) while not performing remains forbidden.
This is an obvious attempt to bring down TWO GUYS WITH PIPES! I'm seeing right through this!!!
