We had our Valentine's weekend show in Mabie Theater and love--or at least pheromones--was in the air! Order in the comments.

7 Comments:
1. An Open Letter to Acme Ventilation Systems by Spencer Abbe
He really needed to vent and he did because his building couldn't.
2. Marek Finds a Purpose by Marek
Marek clicks a pen and realizes she is the God of Everything.
3. "A Valentine's Poem" by Molly Jean
Molly gets all romantic and gives thanks for letting her touch your penis
4. SELEBRITY FACTZ by Asher Stuhlman
Hosts wear crazy sunglasses and interview a famous audience member, Michael.
5. The Academy Awards by Craig Martin
Craig comments on the 3 Best Pic Nominees that he gives a rat fuck about.
6. Why I'll Never Get Laid by Morgan Miller
I have a mental monologue while riding the cambus.
7. A Message from the Anti-Franco Cinema Advocacy Group
Taylor consoles Bryan after he watches a French Art Film. A PSA of sorts.
8. Conversations from the Heart by Eric Jesteadt
Eric and a lady friend converse with those nasty chalky candy heart things.
9. Marek Has Sex by MaMo
I try to explain to Marek the difference between sex and beating a hobo to death with a plank. Marek uses her wood on me.
10. I Love you All by Taylor Cook
Taylor sings a song about a girl who he never saw cry and held a gun to his heard.
1. This felt like a bit of a bunt - Spencer's still a strong playwriter, but this doesn't do anything unusual or novel coming from him. I laughed a lot, though!
2. Marek's facial expressions are just perfect here. This was excellent.
3. :D
4. This was a mashup of two pieces I'd been meaning to do for a while - an inane television show and an impromptu interview. It was fun to perform, since I don't normally do this sort of character.
5. I haven't seen any of these three films. In fact, the only film released in 2010 that I saw in 2010 was Scott Pilgrim.
6. Easy best-of. A great concept, well-executed, and VERY well-timed.
7. I heard this as "Ani DiFranco" in the order and was confused.
8. Another great concept piece. I loved how the hearts just got dropped onto the floor noncommittally.
9. So many missed double-entendres here! :D :D :D
10. :D :D :D
Hey No Shame! I left you a present in your mailbox. Hearts. It's hand written and there's only one copy. Huzzah!
Does this mean Eli is Penny?
No, Eli is not me, nor am I Eli.
No, Eli is not me, nor am I Eli.
Am I Penny? I can't remember much of the past few years and there are long periods of time where I black out and drive the 4 hours to Iowa City to put pieces in the No Shame mailbox.
But no sadly I got into town too late for last weeks show and while I was killing some time at the Theatre Building I took a pen to some paper and wrote without thinking. Let the words flow. Let all of the X-Files I have been watching inspire me to write something that I did not read aloud or read twice. It was an experiment that I would very much like to know the reaction to.
