Hey all. So there is a summer playwrighting workshop. Its not a class but a bunch of us get together. I'll let you know more later when I know. Its a great place to experiment with longer works. Me, Adam, and Greg participated in it last year. It was fun and friendly

ALSO. A play I wrote called "Thanks for the Memory" got selected for a Gallery production next fall and I am opening it up for musicians to get some work heard. The play is a sci-fi tragedy so it would have to fit that genre. But if you're interested let me know before fall. Thanks.

Here's what I'm doing this summer:

I have this new book on how to change the shape of your face using the power of your mind, so I am going to spend the summer changing my face so that I look like Benyo. THEN I am going to kidnap Benyo and steal his identity and life. That way, I can be on the No Shame Board again!

I better start practicing the guitar.

And Matt Benyo was in it too. Sorry Matt, but why the hostility? And Patrick as well

sorry, eli.

i was high and actually got mad and then realized i was high and thought it would be really funny to get mad on the blog and then when you were like "what's your problem" id see that when i was sober and think back about how funny the idea was when i was high.

by the way, dont get me started about that lady who gets thrown out of the plane after she sucks on nicholas cage's tongue! it was SOO obvious that she was a cop!! she was wearing a beige pantsuit! she looked like a kindergarten teacher circa 1994!! and castor troy was all 'come sit on my lap and suck on my tongue' ... TO A KINDERGARTEN COP!!!!!?!?!?!?!

Michael, have you heard the song "Seen and Not Seen" by the Talking Heads? They may have read your book too.

I wondered about that song, too, when I saw the post. But then I thought, "Michael doesn't even LIKE that album! How could it be from that song that he speaks?!" But then I thought, "He could still be inspired by the premise of the song, whether he likes the song as a whole or nor!" But then, "What if he DIDN'T be thinking of the song at all, but came up with a same idea out out of his own BRAIN?!" My concern is that: no matter which way I do enjoy Talking Heads and that song is quite nice, we truly never may really know... what was Michael alludong to?

My hair apparently looked ridiculous at Best Of. Look at the weird wavy flip it's doing, my God. That's just totally unacceptable and I kind of want to die now.

Oh hon, your hair looked fine. This from the guy who doesn't even trim his beard evenly.

Your hair was intellectually tousled, like an excited scientist who bursts out of the lab to shout, "I'VE DISCOVERED THE ANTIDOTE!"

Eli, you foul glob of menstrual blood. When I see you next semester I am just going to throw you under a cambus or something. If you see me coming, you better run.

Also I got my hair cut today. It looks pretty awesome. I heard you had a play or something that I'll probably go to. Whatever.

I got this e-mail this week. I was impressed with this group's work on The Rehearsal this spring.

"THE INNOCENTS a new play in Iowa City

"Hey All:

"Working Group- off the success of both THE REHEARSAL and THE EVIDENCE is stepping out of the theater for a site-specific play about murder, evil and all that we've come to love of the summer!

"See the preview:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTLDvHYjFnM
http://workinggrouptheatre.blogspot.com

"So, the show has limited seating but we want you to be there!

"We open this Friday the 19th at 10:30pm. And will meet in the THEATRE LOBBY.

"The show will run every night until the 23rd, always at 10:30pm. Tell your friends and if you know which day you'd like to come feel free to email us here so we can reserve your seat.

"The performances are pretty amazing, the show is pretty short and we're giving it to you for free (you dont have to put a thing in the donation box).

"Hope to see you,
Working Group (Jeff, Jenn, Sean)"

There is no, "this Friday the 19th," but you can take that up with them.

Jake, I think the only reasonable explanation is that we are bizarro versions of each other. We wear the same shoes, we get our hair cut on the same day. These can't be coincidences.

Over the summer, they're changing our beloved Theatre B. I don't know the details, but:
-There will be a permanent raised stage.
-There will be new lights, and some kind of new lighting controls.
-For accessability reasons, there will be more prominent audience exit on the stage left/audience right side.
