Iowa City BEST OF Nominations! Fall 2009

Hey folks! It is that time again! Time to nominate your favorite pieces of the last semester for our BEST OF NO SHAME show on December 11th. Here is how it works. 1) You nominate the pieces you want to see. 2) The NS Board meets and uses those nominations to pick the best show possible. 3) We announce the Best Of order at our Dead Week show on December 4th. 4) The show goes up on the 11th and we all have a rockin time. It is that simple. So please take some time and review the list of pieces in the comments tab and pick the show that YOU want to see.

As you know there is no show this week (11/27) so nominations will have to be in by Thursday December 3rd at the LATEST. The cutoff will be around 4pm on that day. Thanks and hope to see you at Dead week and BEST OF the week after!

Bearing in mind that I didn't see 5/1, 9/4, or 11/20's shows...

In order of performance, chronologically:

- Transitive Verb (slang) the process by which one turns into a whore by Merriam Webster dot com backslash

- A Salute to the Airforce of Iowa State

- Speech for Forgotten Realms Club of Sciences

- A Tall Tale

- A Dance Party (two votes for this)

- FFVII Fanfic

- The Triple Bs

- If God Gives you Lemons Pour the Juice in Someone's Eye

Obligatory politically-minded nomination: Time Before Land

If I weren't so tasteless as to nominate myself: The Day The Table Stood Still, and Traditions.

I'm having a hard time remembering what titles go with what. I also missed some shows though.

I just wanted to say that I have a copy of "The Family that Shits Together" and I would like to see it in the show

I am convinced that most people are forgetting to vote for A Dance Party just because of it's ambiguous title. It's the one where Spencer got up on stage and proclaimed himself to be the dance king.

I'll selfishly second the nomination for "In the Act" by Montgomery Scott, as performed by me (one A. Burton) and Margie Dubé, because I thought Mr. Scott's script was excellent and it was a lot of fun to perform.

This was the piece about a man getting in touch with his more adventurous side at the urgent urgings of the woman he's been seeing.

I vote for "Who is Sunny and why is she on the couch" that didn't actually get performed. I wanna know!

I vote for whichever of the table pieces is the best one. I only saw one but I heard about others. I cannot wisely choose a specific table piece, but I nominate whichever one was the best.

I also nominate Phallus Sea by James S Roth and A Dance Party.

For those that don't remember Time Before Land, it was the one that involved Luke and Katie acting like fish, (Luke was the shark) darting around the stage,
