Since I can’t remember all the pieces and there weren’t synopses to jog my memory, here are some selected reviews:
"The Ghost of a Very Seinfeld Christmas Past," by Jonathan Shelton
I still remember how funny the first one was. This was a really nice sendoff sketch for Aprille.
"40 Aphorisms for Our Times," by Dick Roberts
I’ve heard several of these in other places before, but it was still an enjoyable piece. I liked the one about Lincoln, Nebraska.
"KFC Ya Real Soon," by Tim Busse
Oh, Tim, your life is an endless string of crappy jobs and bad drug experiences. How do you go on?
"Flushing Out the System," by Eric Landuyt
Pity this one didn’t go over too well. I think the wardrobe was inadvertantly distracting.
"Coffee Problem," by Evan Schenck
Very funny. Great acting.
"Meschel Says Goodbye," by Timm Sitzmann
This was great for those of us who remember Gomez, Argentina, and David Schwimmer. Timm, I can’t wait for you to get back to No Shame next year.
"Adam's Humiliating No Shame Present, 2006: Cool Ranch," by Adam Hahn
Funny and touching at the same time.
"Fare Thee Well," by Steve-O Ptacek
The lyrics were great, witty with very clever rhymes. With all the hubub about Aprille retiring, I think we all forgot that Steve-O will be leaving us too. I’ll miss you, Steve. Come back and visit.
"The Consultant," by Matthew Benyo
This was fantastic. Great writing.
"What Went Wrong," by Aprille Clarke
Classic Aprille: sweet, silly, and fun. We’ll miss you, Aprille.
Hey, just incase anyone is still in town, reading this bloggy thing, and not planning on doing anything on the next couple Tuesdays...
Yes Shame dead week is this Tuesday aka tomorrow or probably today by the time anyone reads this.
Best Of Yes Shame is the following Tuesday (May 16th).
Both performances will be at 8:00pm in City High School's Little Theatre, which is located on the second floor at the top of the stairs. If you actually want to come and need directions to City High, Mapquest it or something. What do I look like, some kind of On Star? I'm not even of the legal driving age.
